According to the European Commission bioeconomy means using renewable biological resources to produce food, materials and energy… And a circular forest-based economy does just that.
A forest-based bioeconomy implies better resource management which entails minimizing waste and maximising efficiency along the whole value chain. Trees are a source of more than 5000 products we use every day, including bio-composites, bio-plastics and bio-fuels.
